Kana Gotou(伍島 歌那)

Miss Kana Gotou attended Osaka College of Music Junior College and later graduated from the “Popular Vocal Department. Her Mother loved Jazz and it would be one of the main reasons why she fell in love with Jazz. In Kana’s third year of High School, she decided then that she wanted to be a Jazz Vocalist.

 

After Kana’s graduation, she started to sing the following genre’s: Jazz, Blues, Soul, R&B and Gospel as Lead Singer or Back-Up Chorus. She has performed at various venue’s such as Live House, Jazz Lounge, Hotel’s and Around the World Cruise.

 

In 2009, Kana traveled to Melbourne for one year and a half to study English. She enjoyed the thriving Art of Melbourne and the beautiful Sky Line of the city. She concentrated on learning English in the Performing Arts sector. Melbourne was the perfect setting for her to perform as a busk (street performer).

 

Once she returned from Melbourne, she became an Affiliated Vocalist at Disco & Soul Live House in Osaka. A year and a half later, she joined the group led by “Tommy CHO”, who is one of the leading figures in the Jazz keyboard harmonica scene. She is a Tour Member of this band which is named “PiaNica Soul”. Tommy Cho has worked and performed throughout Japan and abroad.
